In this post, I will review the third protein bar that I received from WOLO. This bar is the WOLO Protein WanderBar Mint Chocolate Chip Lost Weekend, continuing with the theme of the traveler. This bar should be good, as chocolate and mint are two of my favorite pairs.
The other protein bars from WOLO that I reviewed are the Peanut Butter Road Tripper, and the Cocoa Crunch Frequent Flyer, both which I liked, but I thought they were a bit mild and bland. But I would buy them again for a quick protein snack. Let’s check out the third bar from WOLO.
List Of Ingredients
Protein Blend (Whey Protein Isolate, Milk Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Concentrate, Pea Protein), Prebiotic Dietary Tapioca Fiber, Tapioca Syrup, Almonds, Chocolate Chips (Sugar, Chocolate Liquor, Cocoa Butter), Coconut Oil, Flaxseed, Cocoa (Processed With Alkali), Vegetable Glycerine, Coconut Flour, Tapioca Starch, Water, Natural Flavors, Sunflower Lecithin, Turmeric, Calcium Carbonate, Ascorbic Acid, Cinnamon, Sea Salt, Purified Stevia Extract, Zinc Gluconate.
As with the other two protein bars that I tasted from WOLO, the ingredients are not clean, but they are healthy just the same, with turmeric and zinc, two ingredients that are not in most protein bars.
There is no indication on the front of the wrapper that there are nuts in this bar, so just keep in mind that there are almonds and coconut oil in the ingredients. As always, read the ingredients before you try anything if you have any kind of food allergies, and I made this easy for you, as in every post I make sure to list all the ingredients.

I like what is in this bar because there is a decent amount of fiber, as well as protein.
My Honest Review
As I open the wrapper, I get a mild chocolate smell, however, I don’t smell much mint. My first bite is very much as was the other two protein bars from WOLO, mild chocolate, not overpowering at all.
There is a taste of mint, but it is not very pronounced. As is the case with the other bars, there are two layers. The top layer is creamy, and there are small chocolate chips. The second layer is basically a fancy chocolate rice crispy treat. The bar is not dry, and moistened up nicely as I continue to chew, with a nice crunch.
I don’t really taste much protein in this bar, and it is not grainy. I like this bar a bit better than the other two, although I did like them as well. The mild taste of mint is what makes this bar good, although I would consider it more bland than other bars with mint that I have tried before. Don’t let that discourage you from trying this product, as it is not very sweet, but still has a nice chocolate mint taste.
I am drinking a can of coconut water with this protein bar, and it goes well together. This bar would make a nice snack with protein and fiber, but it is not very filling in my opinion. It does taste good, and I would eat it again. I don’t think I would use this protein bar along with a workout program to build muscle, but I would definitely eat this as an alternative to eating a sugary candy bar. And it does have fiber and protein, and this makes it a bar I would incorporate into a well-balanced diet. Give it a try!
