I am on a mission to review all the Quest Protein Bars for two reasons. They have all of these cool flavors, and they are very popular. My first review of the regular Quest bars was White Chocolate Raspberry. Today I will taste Mocha Chocolate Chip. I like all things mocha and chocolate so this should be tasty.
The list of ingredients are small, and Stevia, as well as Erythritol are the sweeteners that are used. The packaging is very attractive, and I like the fact that this bar is very low in sugar content.
List Of Ingredients
Protein Blend (Milk Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Isolate), Soluble Corn Fiber (Prebiotic Fiber), Almonds. Water, Erythritol, Natural Flavors, Unsweetened Chocolate, Cocoa Butter. Contains Less than 2% of the following: Cocoa (Processed with Alkali), Coconut Oil, Sea Salt, Sunflower Lecithin, Baking Soda, Xanthan Gum, Steviol Glycosides (Stevia).
That’s the extent of the ingredients, and though they are not completely clean, they are not bad. The less the ingredients the healthier the product is what I always preach, and this bar fits the bill.

So far these Quest Protein Bars seen to put importance on fiber, that is lacking in many protein bars. To read more about Erythritol, which is in these bars, here is a good article to read.
My Honest Review
As I opened the wrapper, I got a bit of a protein smell, as well as very small whiff of mocha. The bars is a bit more dry than I expected, but as I continue to chew, it moistens up.
I am washing it down with a cold coffee beverage, so I am going all in for the mocha chocolate coffee experience. The coffee drink and the bar pair well together.
This is a solid bar without any layering, and there are big chocolate mocha pieces throughout. There is a very small crunch to the bar, almost a grainy texture, but it does not take away from the enjoyment of the bar.
It is not very sweet, and the mocha flavor is just right. This is a nice tasting bar. It is low in calories as compared to other protein bars, and it is definitely not meant as a meal replacement.
This is a great snacking bar, and with 20g protein, can be used in unison with a workout program to build muscle. I would personally only eat one of these bars a day, not because of the sugar or calorie content, but because of the Stevia and Erythritol. I try to limit my intake of these sweeteners, and as always, keep in mind the potential for stomach upset if these sweeteners don’t agree with you.
I would recommend giving this bar a try, if for nothing else, it tastes good. It can be a good supplement to get some protein in your diet as well. Tasty product.
