Pottentia Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bar Review

This is the second flavor protein bar that I have tried by Pottentia, a company from Boise, Idaho. I am reviewing their Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bar in this post.

Though I have not heard of this company before doing a recent trip on Amazon, they have a pretty decent product, with clean ingredients, and I think it is worth your while to check these protein bars out. Hopefully these reviews will give them some more exposure. To date, they only have three products, and you can check out my review for their Double Chocolate Protein Bar here.Pottentia Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bar

List Of Ingredients

The ingredients list for this protein bar is short. And the shorter the better, in my opinion.

Peanuts, Grass Fed Whey Protein Concentrate, Chicory Root Fiber, Dates, Dark Chocolate, Vanilla Bean.

That’s it. As you can see, these bars are pretty clean, and I especially like the fact that the whey protein concentrate is grass fed, which I haven’t come across yet. Not being an expert in nutrition myself, the grass fed option seems like it would be appealing to the more recent health conscious in to days society.

My Honest Review

The Pottentia Peanut Butter Chocolate flavored protein bar is a bit dry. It has light chocolate taste with a bit of peanut butter flavor, but neither are very strong. I would say that the peanut butter flavor is more prevalent than the chocolate.

The texture of the bar is definitely dry, and I immediately want a glass of water after eating this bar. I did not like it as much as the Double Chocolate flavor, which was more moist and with less of a chalky consistency.Pottentia Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bar

The Peanut Butter Chocolate has an alright taste, but nothing to write home to mom about. I will probably eat what is left in the box I received, but would not reorder.

This bar definitely has a protein flavor, in both taste and texture. What I like about this bar is that the ingredients list is short, and can be readily understood, so there is no surprises here.

If you want to try a protein bar that is nutritious, but don’t mind a dry mild taste, this may be a bar for you to try. In my opinion, I’d attempt to find a single bar somewhere, and not purchase a box of eight. A single bar may be hard to find though, and the hope of this review is to get these products more exposure.
