This is my first time trying a ONE bar. They are quite popular, and there are many flavors that I eventually hope to try. I have heard good things about the taste of these protein bars, and in this post I will review the ONE Peanut Butter Pie Protein Bar.
I basically like anything with peanut butter flavor, so I am anticipating that I will probably like this bar. If it tastes anything like the picture on the packaging, it should be decent.
List Of Ingredients
Protein Blend (Whey Protein Isolate, Milk Protein Isolate), Isomalto-Oligosaccharides (Prebiotic Fiber from Vegetable Source), Maltitol, Vegetable Glycerin, Peanut Butter, Peanut Flour, Peanuts, Palm Kernel oil, Natural Flavors, Soy Lecithin (an Emulsifier), Sea Salt, Nonfat Dry Milk, Tapioca Starch, Calcium Carbonate, Almond Butter and Sucralose.
This bar has one ingredient that I have never heard of before, Isomalto-Oligosaccharides, which is a “naturally occurring plant-based dietary fiber” as explained when I googled it. There seems to be some gastrointestinal discomfort that comes along when ingesting this dietary fiber, so if you have issues like these, do a bit of research into this ingredient if you are thinking of trying this protein bar.
It has many of the same ingredients that I have seen in many of the other protein bars I’ve tried, so no big surprises here, other than the Isomalto-Oligosaccharides that I mentioned. This bar does contain sugar alcohol, so keep that in mind if those effect you in any way, such as gas. The list of ingredients in this protein bar is about standard fare as far as these bars go.

My Honest Review
When I took a bite of this protein bar, I immediately loved it. I mean, what’s not to love? The texture was smooth and creamy, with a very slight crunch. The bar looks a bit dry when first seeing it, but when I took a bite it was moist and delicious, with a peanut butter coating around the bar.
The center has a consistency of nugat, and there are crunchy pieces inside. This is one of the best peanut butter protein bars that I have tasted so far, sweeter than the Pure Protein Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar which is one of my favorites, and more filling.
This ONE bar eats like a candy bar, with just a small protein taste to it. The taste of protein is so minimal that I can barely tell that it is present. I would definitely eat more of these bars, and I am looking forward to trying all the flavors from ONE.
Except for the sugar alcohol content, there is nothing about this bar that is a negative for me. It can be eaten as a between meal snack, or along with a workout program to help build muscle. I would not consider this a meal replacement bar. Give this one a try, I think you’ll agree that it is very tasty!
