Munk Pack Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Cookie Review

As I was shopping on Amazon a while back, I came across a line of protein cookies by a company named Munk Pack, out of Greenwich Connecticut. I decided to pick up a four pack variety box to check these cookies out. They have interesting packaging as well as a small ingredients list, and the first of the four cookies that I am reviewing in this post is the Monk Pack Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Cookie. I am anxious to try it out, so let’s look at the ingredients.Munk Pack Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Cookie

List Of Ingredients

Peanut Butter, Cane Sugar, Dark Chocolate Chips (Cane Sugar, Chocolate, Cocoa Butter), Gluten Free Oat Flour, Plant Protein (Brown Rice Protein, Pea Protein), Peanuts, Peanut Flour, Vegetable Glycerin, Natural Flavors, Gluten Free Oat Fiber, Baking Powder, Sea Salt, Xanthan Gum, Sunflower Lecithin, Monk Fruit Extract.

As you can see, the ingredients is short, but is not completely clean. There are no organic ingredients, but it looks like this cookie is pretty nutritious just the same.

Important Nutrition Facts

Serving Size – 1/2 Cookie, Calories 180, Total Fat 10g, Saturated Fat 2g, Trans Fat 0g, Cholesterol 0mg, Sodium 170mg, Total Carbohydrates 17g, Dietary Fiber 3g, Total Sugars 8g, Included Added Sugars 7g, Sugar Alcohols 0g, Protein 9g.

Much like the Lenny & Larry’s Protein Cookies that I have reviewed, such as the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Complete Cookie, these cookies from Munk Pack have to be doubled as far as nutrition goes, as all the nutrition facts listed are for 1/2 cookie.

So, this cookie has a bunch of calories and carbs if eaten as a whole cookie, but I like the fact that this cookie has no sugar alcohols, and is made with pea protein.

My Honest Review

As I open the packaging, I get a mild peanut butter smell, and there is also a bit of a protein smell as well. It is not overly strong. The cookie is a bit smaller than some other protein cookies Iv’e tried, but it is rather thick.

The texture of the cookie is very soft, chewy, moist and fresh. There is a barely noticeable crunch, due to the pieces of peanuts. This cookie is really delicious, with a mild peanut butter flavor, and small, but flavorful chocolate chips.Munk Pack Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Cookie

The protein taste is very minimal and not that noticeable. This cookie is very filling and satisfying, and is perfect with a bottle of water, or even a glass of milk.

The cookie is far from a diet product that would help with weight loss, as it has a lot of calories and carbs if a complete cookie is eaten. But as a relatively nutritious snack, this cookie is much better to eat than a bunch of sugary cookies.

I really can’t say enough about this cookie, it is delicious and I would definitely recommend that you give it a try, just eat in moderation. I look forward to trying the other protein cookies by Munk Pack, and the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip is a winner!
