I have been eating MET-Rx Protein bars on and off for years. I have always enjoyed them. Having already reviewed the Protein Plus Chocolate Chocolate Chunk bar from MET-Rx, now I will begin to review the many others.
The bar I will taste in this review is the MET-Rx Protein Plus Creamy Peanut Butter Crisp Protein Bar. Of all the MET-Rx bars Iv’e had before, I have yet to try this particular one. The ingredients list in this bar is quite extensive, so let’s see what we have.
List Of Ingredients

This list of ingredients is quite a read, and I will say that they are not clean at all. There are a lot of good ingredients in this bar also, such as the vitamin and mineral blend.
Even though there are many ingredients in this bar that may be hard to read and comprehend, I personally knew bodybuilders when I was younger that ate the MET-Rx protein bars religiously, and it helped them build some solid muscle.
So, these protein bars are popular, and they are very satisfying with a great taste. As I stated before, I have been eating them for years, sometimes for a snack, and at times when I weight trained. I am planning on starting a weight training program around the time of the writing of this review, and I would definitely consume them moderately.

My Honest Review
The first thing that I notice before I open the wrapper, is that this protein bar is thick and dense. When I open up the packaging, I don’t get much of a smell at all.
The bar is completely covered with a soft peanut butter coating which is delicious. If peanut butter flavor is one of you favorites, you will most likely really enjoy this protein bar.
This bar has some distinct layers, on top just under the peanut butter coating, is a creamy caramel peanut layer, Then there is a layer of crunchy goodness with the consistency of rice crispies, and even reminds me a bit of Captain Crunch peanut butter cereal. There is a cookie crunch texture to the bar also which I love.
This bar definitely eats like a decedent candy bar, it is not dry at all, and there is the slightest protein taste, but nothing that is offensive. The texture is crunchy, yet creamy, and full of peanut butter and caramel flavor.
It is very satisfying and fills me up. I would suggest consuming a beverage while eating this bar if you decide to try it. I am drinking a can of coconut water with the bar, but that is a personal preference, and a glass of milk or bottle of water would do just as well.
These are not the bars to be eating all the time, as they are relatively high in calories, but they have a sufficient amount of protein to help build muscle while working out.
This particular bar could be used as a snack or along with a workout regimen, and I would consider it as a potential meal replacement bar, although other MET-Rx bars have more calories, which we will see at a later time. thoroughly enjoyed tasting this protein bar, and if you are looking to build muscle and like peanut butter, this is one you should definitely try. Good stuff!
