I am continuing to taste and review the protein bars that I received in the mail from Mauer Sports Nutrition. So far, I have enjoyed the bars that I have tasted, including the Dark Chocolate Coconut Crunch, and the Caramel Macadamia. There are others also, and I will be tasting everyone of the bars in the variety pack. The review in this post will be the White Chocolate Strawberry Protein Bar.
I especially like the fact that Mauer combines both great taste and solid nutrition in their protein bars, and that is not always the case with many other bars on the market. They concentrate many of their ingredients on being organic, which is important if you are looking to eat a clean product.
By reading the list of ingredients, you can see how their claim that 70% of their protein bars contain organic ingredients is true. Let’s take a look at the list of ingredients in the White Chocolate Strawberry Bar.
List Of Ingredients
Protein Blend (Milk Protein, Organic Pea Protein, Whey Protein, Organic Sacha Inchi), Organic Cashew Butter, Organic Inulin, Organic Tapioca Syrup, Organic White Chocolate (Organic Cane Sugar, Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Milk Powder, Soy Lecithin (Non GMO), Organic Vanilla Extract, Organic Ground Vanilla), Organic Berry Flavor, Organic Glycerin, Organic Strawberries, Nuvous (Organic Stevia, Organic Orange Flavor, Organic Lycii Berry Extract), and Organic Quinoa Crisps.
Not a huge ingredients list, and a lot of organic stuff that makes this bar of great interest to me. I am strongly considering making these protein bars by Mauer Sports Nutrition a regular staple in my dietary quest for more protein.

My Honest Review
First thing that I noticed, as with the other protein bars by Mauer, is that the bar is thick, dense and solid for such a small bar. When I opened the wrapper, I got a strong smell of strawberry.
The bar is not layered, and there are little pieces of strawberry and white chocolate throughout the bar. I don’t get a very strong taste of white chocolate, it is mild. The consistency of the bar looks like that of the old Power Bars that I used to eat in college.
The texture is chewy and a bit dry, but not overly so. There is a slight protein taste to the bar, but not too much. I get the after-taste of a bit of orange flavor, which I get in all the bars from Mauer Iv’e tasted so far, and I like it, it gives the bar a complex flavor that works well.
I would suggest a bottle of water or other beverage while eating this bar. The overall flavor and texture are comparable to other protein bars on the market, but this bar is just a bit above in flavor, in my opinion.
The texture is a bit grainy, but not all that bad. This is a perfect snacking bar, is not sweet, has a bit of a dry after-taste, but the slight orange flavor negates any dryness.
I like this bar a lot, and would suggest it to anyone looking for a protein bar that is organic, nutritious, yet tastes good. It has 20g of protein, 12g of fiber, and has no sugar alcohol. This makes it a good, healthy choice to get more protein in your diet. Check it out!
