The last two bars that I received from Mauer Sports Nutrition that I have not tasted yet are not technically not considered protein bars. They are labeled Weight Management Bars, but they do have protein in them. The protein count is much lower than the in the traditional protein bars from Mauer. In this post, I will be reviewing the Organc Trim Peanut Crunch Weight Management Bar.
This bar is virtually completely made of organic ingredients, and is one of the cleanest bars I have seen up to this point. Let’s take a look at the nutritious ingredients.
List Of Ingredients
Organic Prebiotic Fiber, Organic Peanut Butter, Organic Chocolate (Organic Unsweetened Chocolate, Organic Cane Sugar, Organic Cocoa Butter), Organic Peanut Pieces, Organic Pea Protein, Organic Peanut Flour, Organic Brown Rice Crisps, Organic Svetol, Organic Caramel Flavor, Organic Stevia, Organic Sunflower Lecithin.
This list is relatively short, and is completely organic. If you are looking to keep your weight in check, this bar seems like it could be for you. There is an ingredient in this bar called Svetol, which I know little about, so if you would like to do a bit of reading up on it, check out this link.
The nutrition in the Organic Trim Peanut Crunch Bar looks Solid.

My Honest Review
This bar is thinner than other protein bars from Mauer. When I first opened the packaging, I get a very slight smell of peanut and chocolate.
The bar has a chocolate coating around it, and it appeared very dry. As I take a bit and chew for a bit, it really wasn’t all that dry. The bar as a bit of a crunch from the organic peanut pieces, but the crunch is not that pronounced. It actually gets quite moist as I continue to chew.
The inside of the bar has a similar texture and consistency to many other protein bars, almost like nougat, and is chewy. I do get a bit of a protein taste, but it is not strong.
There is a sweetness to the aftertaste. This bar does not eat like a candy bar, as the sweetness is not that noticeable, only in the aftertaste, which is pleasant. I am not sure of the claims that this can help with weigh management, but this bar tastes good and would make a good snack to cut hunger in between meals.
This is not a meal replacement, and it also is lower in protein than other bars Iv’e tried, so I don’t think it would do much in terms of building muscle incorporated with a workout. It does make for a tasty, nutritious snack, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to get some protein and fiber in their diet.
