My next review is another protein bar by Mauer Sports Nutrition. I will be tasting the Mauer Dark Chocolate Coconut Crunch Protein Bar. I have enjoyed the Mauer Sports Nutrition Bars so far, and this next one comprises two flavors that I really enjoy, dark chocolate and coconut. Two flavors that go together quite nicely.
I have reviewed the Caramel Macadamia, Dark Chocolate Strawberry, and the Coconut Cashew bars by Mauer so far, and I have enjoyed them all. These bars are very nutritious and are filled with organic ingredients. Let’s check them out.

My Honest Review
The first thing that I noticed before opening the wrapper, is that this protein is thick and dense for such a relatively small bar. When I opened the wrapper, I got a slight smell of dark chocolate and a mild whiff of protein powder, but nothing that discouraged me from wanting to continue tasting.
The bar has a thin, dark chocolate coating around it, and the taste is soft, chewy and fresh. It has a slight crunchiness to it, and the consistency is moist. The bar appeared dry when I first looked at it, but it is not dry at all.
The dark chocolate coating blends well with the coconut middle, which has a chewy, nougat consistency. There is an ever so slight hint of orange flavor, which gives the bar a complex taste.
It is not grainy or chalky tasting, as are many other protein bars, but there is a bit of protein flavor, but nothing to strong. I really like the taste of this bar, it does not eat like a sweet candy bar, it eats like a moist, soft, protein bar which is not sweet at all.
It is refreshing to have a protein bar that tastes healthy but yet tastes so good. So far, Mauer has created protein bars with the perfect balance of flavors and nutrition, they are very satisfying, and at 310 calories, can be eaten as a healthy snack or along with a workout program to build muscle. I would’wouldn’t consider it a meal replacement.
I will be purchasing more of these bars, they taste great, and I feel as if I am getting a good source of protein from a bar that is not too sweet. Great product, I suggest you give it a try.
