In this post, I will taste and review Lenny & Larry’s Peanut Butter Muscle Brownie. This is the second brownie from Lenny & Larry’s that I am reviewing, the first being their Cookies & Cream brownie. I did not like the Cookies & Cream as much as I liked their protein cookies, but it was passable.
I like all things peanut butter, so I am anticipating this next review to be a bit more positive. I like the idea of having a brownie to snack on that provides a good amount of protein and also some fiber, rather than a sugary brownie with little or no nutritional value. Let’s take a look at the ingredients.
List Of Ingredients
Protein Blend (Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate), Peanut Butter Chips (Sugar, Palm Kernal Oil, Partially Defatted Peanut Flour, Non-Fat Dry Milk Solids, Peanut Oil, Salt, Soy Lecithin), Vegetable Glycerin, Soy Protein Isolate, Margarine (Palm Oil, Soybean Oil, Water, Salt, Whey, Mono And Diglycerides, Soybean Lecithin, Natural Butter Flavor, Beta Carotene, Vitamin A Palmitate), Soluble Corn Fiber (Prebiotic Fiber), Peanut Butter (Dry Roasted Peanuts, Dextrose, Palm Oil, Salt), Water, Cocoa, Sugar, Salt, Baking Soda, Vanilla, Almonds, Peanuts, Corn Syrup Solids, Wheat Flour, Wheat Starch.
The ingredients in this brownie are not clean, but there is protein and fiber in it, and that to me is much more nutritious than a regular sugary brownie.

My Honest Review
When I open the wrapper of the peanut butter brownie, I get a mild smell of peanut butter, but also a bit of a protein smell. The brownie is quite small, with a peanut butter drizzle on the top.
As I take a first bite, I notice that it starts out pretty dry, but it softens up as I continue to chew. There is no crunch to the brownie at all, which is surprising because there are peanuts in the ingredients, and I took that to mean peanut pieces, but there was not enough there to get any kind of crunch.
The flavor of the brownie is extremely mild, with just a small peanut butter taste. I expected more of a peanut butter presence in the brownie, but I am a bit disappointed .
Much like the Cookies & Cream brownie I tasted before, there is an aftertaste that I am washing down with a bottle of water. And like the other brownie, it tastes alright, but nothing special.
I would suggest that you give this brownie a try if you are looking for a snack to supplement your diet with some protein and a bit of fiber. Don’t expect it to eat like a sugary brownie, because it is really not sweet. There is a protein taste, but it is not as prevalent as in other protein products that Iv’e tried.
I like this brownie if there is nothing else available around with protein in it, and if I was preparing to do a workout, but I wouldn’t’t eat this product on a regular basis like I would the cookies from Lenny & Larry’s. But it has its place.
