The next Lenny & Larry’s protein cookie that I will taste and review is the CHOC-O-MINT Complete Cookie. This cookie contains two of my favorite flavors, chocolate and mint. Together, these flavors normally make for a perfect combination, and I am excited to try this product and give you my opinion on it.
I previously reviewed the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Complete Cookie, and I enjoyed it.
As always with the protein cookies from Lenny & Larry, the nutrition facts need to be doubled, because these facts are based on 1/2 of a cookie. And I will be listing as such.
List Of Ingredients
Enriched Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Protein Blend (Vital Wheat Gluten, Pea Protein, Rice Protein), Mint Drop (Sugar, Palm Kernel & Palm Oil, Dextrose, Sunflower Lecithin [Emulsifier], Spirulina [Color], Natural Flavor, Turmeric [Color], Salt), Palm Margarine (Palm Oil, Palm Fractions, Water, Salt, Emulsifiers [Sunflower Lecithin, Distilled Monoglycerides], Natural Flavor, Citric Acid Mixed Tocopherols [Antioxidant] Vitamin A, Beta-Carotine [Color], Invert Sugar, Cane Sugar, Oligofructose, Vegetable Glycerine, Cocoa Powder Processed With Alkali, Chicory Root Fiber, Sunflower Lecithin, Molasses, Baking Soda, Natural Flavor, Sea Salt, Xanthan Gum, Guar Gum, Cultured Dextrose.
The ingredients in this protein cookie are not clean, but there are healthy ingredients that are not found in a regular sugary cookie, such as pea protein and Vitamin A. This cookie will provide a decent amount of protein and dietary fiber.
Important Nutrition Facts

As stated earlier, double the nutritional values that you see here, as these are the values for half a cookie. So, there is quite a bit of sugar and carbohydrates in this cookie, so keep that in mind. There is also no sugar alcohols, and that is a good thing for people who have issues with them. Also, this cookie provides a decent amount of dietary fiber.
My Honest Review
As I open the packaging, I get a delicious smell of chocolate and mint. Also, I am consuming a can of coconut water as I eat the cookie, which is just a personal preference, as I love coconut water. My suggestion is to drink a beverage of your choice while eating this cookie, should you decide to try it.
The flavor of the cookie is very sweet and the chocolate flavor is very pronounced. The mint chips give the cookie a good balance with the chocolate. The texture of the cookie is soft, chewy, and very fresh.
There is no real taste of protein to speak of, and it is rich and satisfying. This would make a delicious, healthy snack, although I would not eat more than one at a time due to the calorie and sugar content.
It is more nutritious than eating regular sugary cookies, and it provides a good source of protein and dietary fiber. I could see this as being an option to eat before or after a workout to add much-needed protein to the diet, but I am not sure what a big muscle builder this cookie would be.
As a healthy snack, or as a way to add protein, I would definitely suggest giving this cookie a try. It tastes delicious, and I will be eating more in the future.
