This post will be a review of Lenny & Larry’s Apple Pie Complete Cookie. This continues my tasting of the cookies that I received in the variety pack that I received from Lenny & Larry’s. Their products are very tasty, and I have reviewed many of them, including Birthday Cake, Snickerdoodle, and Coconut Chocolate Chip.
I am excited to try Apple Pie, and will be interested to see how it tastes. As Iv’e stated before, the ingredients are similar across the Complete Cookie product line, with some minor exceptions. Let’s take a look at the ingredients in the Apple Pie Complete Cookie.
List Of Ingredients
Enriched Wheat Four (Wheat Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Protein Blend (Vital Wheat Gluten, Pea Protein, Rice Protein), Cane Sugar, Palm Margarine (Palm Oil, Palm Fractions, Water, Salt, Emulsifiers [Sunflower Lecithin, Distilled Monoglycerides], Natural Flavor, Citric Acid, Mixed Tocopherols [Antioxidant], Vitamin A, Beta Carotene [Color]), Invert Sugar, Vegetable Glycerine, Chicory Root Fiber, Oligofructose, Dried Apples, Molasses, Sunflower Lecithin, Natural Flavor, Baking Soda, Cinnamon, Salt, Cultured Dextrose, Xanthan Gum, Quar Gum.
The ingredients in this cookie are virtually the same throughout all the cookies Iv’e tried so far, except this one has dried apples. In order to get the proper nutritional value, you have to double the nutrition facts as listed as they are for 1/2 of a cookie.
Important Nutrition Facts

As is the case with all the cookies, there are no sugar alcohols, which is a good thing. However, there is a substantial amount of actual sugar and carbohydrates, so keep that in mind if you are on a diet that restricts sugar or carbs.
My Honest Review
When I first open the packaging, I get a delicious whiff of apple, cinnamon and molasses. The texture of the cookie was at first a bit dry, but it moistened up as I continue to chew. It is thick, dense, and very filling and satisfying.
There is a very light crunch to the cookie that remains throughout the process of eating, probably due to the cinnamon. The flavor is mild, but delicious.
I can taste a bit of cinnamon, apple and molasses, with a perfect balance of each. There is virtually no taste of protein, but there is a slight aftertaste, but it does not get in the way of the enjoyment of the flavor of the cookie.
For those that like the flavor of apple and cinnamon, this cookie would make a great snack to get some extra protein and some fiber in your diet. The cookie is not overly sweet, in spite of the fact that it has quite a bit of sugar content.
This is a cookie I would definitely eat again, although in moderation. Give this cookie a try, and have some water or other beverage on hand if you decide to give it a go. It tastes great!
