In this post, I am continuing to taste and review the protein bars by FitJoy. I found three flavors at my local grocery store, and this is the second review.
The FitJoy Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Bar Review is the next one up. I found the first one I tasted, the FitJoy Cookies and Cream Bar, to be quite tasty, so I am going into this review with good vibes.
I like the simplicity of the packaging with these bars. Sometimes, a product lets the taste and texture speak for itself without all the fancy packaging to entice a customer. This bar boasts of no artificial preservatives added, so lets see what we have inside the ingredients.
List Of Ingredients
Dairy Protein Blend [Whey Protein Isolate, Milk Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Cocoa Crisp (Whey Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Concentrate, Tapioca Starch, Cocoa (Processed With Alkali), Calcium Carbonate, Sunflower Lecithin)], VitaBar Isomalto-Oligosaccharides), Peanut Flavored Coating (Sugar, Fractionated Palm Kernal Oil, Partly Defatted Peanut Flour, Nonfat Milk, Peanut Oil, Soy Lecithin, Salt), Vegetable Glycerin, Water, Chicory Root Fiber, Peanuts, Natural Flavor, Cocoa (Processed With Alkali), High Oleic Sunflower Oil (with tocopherois to protect flavor), Cocoa Butter Salt, Sunflower Lecithin, Stevia.
This protein bar has Stevia, which is the sweetener in all the FitJoy bars that I have seen so far. It is a rather long list of ingredients, but nothing that I haven’t encountered before, so there are no surprises. Partly Defatted Peanut Flour sounds a bit out there, but I have no reservations in trying this bar as far as the ingredients go.

My Honest Review
As soon as I opened the wrapper, I got a sweet smell of peanut butter. There is light, mild chocolate encasing the whole bar, and there are basically three layers.
The top layer is chocolate sprinkled with nuts. Layer two has a chocolate, peanut butter with a moist cake consistency. The bottom layer has a texture of a chocolate brownie.
The bar is very chewy and moist, and except for the bits of nuts on the top layer, the bar is not crunchy at all. It is very smooth and creamy, and it is not dry. It is not overly sweet, and there is no overpowering protein taste.
It eats like a mild candy bar. I would not say it is decadent, but it is very good and satisfying. I would definitely eat this protein bar again, and use it as a snack to get some extra protein in my diet.
It isn’t a meal replacement bar, in my opinion. Just a really nice tasting snacking bar that gives the body a good amount of protein to supplement the diet. I would definitely suggest giving this bar a try.
